I have known Daniel Ambash there over thirty years. He was a choreographer and a dancer . He was an artist , an inventor, a creator. He was enthusiastic and imaginative and had created and performed in many remarkable danse shows. Then I saw him start studying in a yeshiva and make a sincere and demanding Teshuvah. But he did not give up the talents he had and was looking for a way to reconcile the two fields. This led him, for exemple, to produce street shows simultaneously expressing his faith and his art. He also sought, in his way of living, for this dimension of inventiveness. This is perhaps his " neo- hippy " side and those who do not like it can possibly blame him. But he certainly is not, neither a criminal nor a guru or a dangerous individual deserving 26 years in prison ! Although this claimed "marginality" may raise questions or worry the right-thinking circles, it certainly does not justify the determination to fabricate false evidence against him, to present those false evidence at trial or to want so badly to destroy his life and the life of his familiy… It sincerely seems to me that a retrial is a duty ... J'ai connu Daniel Ambash il y a plus de trente ans. Il était chorégraphe et danseur. C'était un artiste, un inventeur, un créateur. Il était enthousiaste et imaginatif et avait créé de nombreux spectacles remarquables. Puis je l’ai vu commencer à étudier dans une yeshiva et faire une Téchouva sincère et exigente. Mais il ne semblait pas renoncer pour autant au talent qu’il avait et cherchait une manière de concilier les deux domaines. Cela l’a ammené à concevoir par exemple des spectacles de rue exprimant en même temps sa foi et son art. Il cherchait également dans sa manière de vivre cette dimension d’inventivité. Il y a peut-être là un côté "néo-hippy" et ceux qui n'aiment pas cela peuvent peut-être le lui reprocher. Mais ce n'est certainement pas ni un criminel, ni un gourou, ni un dangereux individu méritant 26 ans de prison ! Même si cette « marginalité » revendiquée peut interroger ou inquiéter les milieux bien-pensant, elle ne justifie surement pas l’acharnement à fabriquer de fausses preuves à charge autour de son procès ni à vouloir si violemment détruire sa vie et celle de toute sa famille… Il me semble sincèrement que la révision de son procès est un devoir … Alain KLEINMANN, France
